Keeping schtum - Josh 196

"Eastleigh’s high profile MP Chris Huhne appearing today along with his former wife Vasiliki ‘Vicky’ Pryce on charges of perverting the course of justice in relation to a 2003 speeding conviction." reports the Eastleigh News.

We are not allowed to say much as there is a gagging order on the proceedings, but you can comment on the online story, linked above, but be aware "Comments which fail to praise Mr Huhne may be deleted!!"

Via numerous mentions on Twitter.

Flimsin flies in - Josh 191

Yesterday there was another RMetS event, this time on "Quantifying Uncertainties in Climate Science".

Dr Tamsin Edwards, a seasoned BishopHill contributor (and whose Twitter name is @flimsin) spoke at the meeting. It was an interesting afternoon, great to meet people from the Met Office, Hadley Centre etc, and a treat to meet up afterwards in the pub with a few BishopHill readers.

I drew some cartoon notes, see below, but due to the technical nature of the talks, they can only cover a small part of what was discussed. Hopefully others will add their thoughts and recollections.

RMetS Communicating Climate Science - cartoon notes by Josh

Yesterday's joint meeting of the Royal Meteorological Society and Royal Geographical Society on Communicating Climate Science was held at Imperial College, London. It was well attended with excellent speakers and some interesting discussion about the difficulties of communicating the end of the world... fortunately Josh was there to draw cartoon notes.
