Don't forget the last episode of The Wind Farm Wars tonight at 7pm on BBC2. Unfortunately it does not (so I'm told) manage to fit in the results of the latest ‘Pyrrhic Victory’ of Mike Hulme at the Court of Appeal. But that would be revealing the "final outcome" (or not).

It was more than a moral victory. It is a real victory. For the first time ever, there is an enforceable condition covering AM noise. I've said for years the noise pollution is unacceptable, and its not only the audible; windpower has low frequency vibrations that I believe may be even more damaging. The best answer an alarmist gave me for my objections was to site windmills at sea.

I have been looking for something tried and tested to plagiarise from this modern world of sound bites, slogans and sloppy thinking. My preference would be to go from slogan to 'toon.
Is there a suitable pic that would project a simple slogan like: "PRO-SCIENCE"? I'm too close to the wood to see the trees.
I seem to recall a picture/cartoon comparing the impact of a fracking well to a wind turbine I think that may be suitable if anyone can locate it ?
I found it. It's called "Fact sheet No.1" by Josh (who else !)
Wind power is a big, ugly mistake, but this artist is also a fossil fuel shill and portrays buffoons like "Lord" Monckton as reasonable. The anti-wind movement doesn't need this misguided publicity, including the likes of Trump.
There is no abiotic oil and shale is a last-ditch struggle, not a victory over resource finitude. Short attention spans ignore historical peaking in many oil-producing nations, and pretend it can never happen to Ghawar, etc. The U.S. alone burns a billion barrels in about 50 days, so don't get dazzled by "big, new finds."
People need to realize that wind power and fossil fuels are wedded to each other. It's ALL a problem, not just A vs. B as a solution. The only real fix is degrowth and frugal living, but that doesn't sell well.
