Aug 20, 2011 Climate: CRU With RC's (putative) reappearance on the scene, I think we need an alternative handle for the guy. "RC" is just going to get confused with RealClimate. "The hacker" or "the leaker" assumes we know more than we do.
Can we think of some snappy alternative along the lines of Watergate's "Deep Throat"? Deep Climate is already taken, of course, but I would have thought we could come up with something else. Perhaps still with the initials "RC"?

Why not call unreal climate Arsy and then this guy can keep RC.

I like "Rip Cord". "RC" ("who was that masked man?") did slow our descent into oblivion and initiated a chain of events and revelations in the media that have hopefully saved us all.
If it hadn't been for "RC", I would probably never have known there was anything more to know. I wouldn't have discovered CA, HSI or any number of the other "red flags" of reason flying in the face of the propaganda driving us towards pointless economic suicide.
"Rip Cord" fits with my "story" perfectly.
