Jan 26, 2013 Climate: Parliament DECC Deben The Mail on Sunday's splash last week about Lord Deben's misleading the House of Commons Energy and Climate Change Committee over the business of Veolia, a company he chairs, has elicited a response in the form of a letter from committee chairman Tim Yeo.
You may have seen the press coverage on Sunday 13 January (attached) relating to your interests in Veolia Water. At the Committee's request, I have written to Ed Davey to ask for an update on how DECC and the Cabinet Office have addressed the outstanding matters in relation to your interests, which we drew to their attention back in September. The Committee also asked me to write to you to give you an opportunity to comment.
The spectacle of the heavily conflicted Yeo assessing Deben to see if he too is heavily conflicted is almost too much for me.

Not a financial matter, but nonetheless his membership of the shadowy 'World Future council' should be declared.

Hopefully, this will turn into a spat in which all the trough feeders eventually 'out' each other and the public gets to see what the real concerns of politically motivated environmentalism is all about; and it isn't saving the planet.
I wouldn't be surprised if the pair of them don't "swap notes" on how to max-out the system whilst maintaining an apparent personal 'lack of interest'.
I am not sure who is the most dangerous in this regard the left or the right - No I get, it is just politicians of all colours.

You couldn't make it up. As has been mentioned previously Ian Hislop and Private Eye should be all over this and various other scandals.
Private Eye seem to lack the confidence to touch anything remotely scientific, maybe since they got the MMR controversy badly wrong.
The shenanigans of Selwyn Gummer and perused by 'vested interests' Tim - it is a farce but then the whole of the climate change committee is hopelessly biased and stuck in the man made fiction of a global warming phase of a major green scam.
I think, all of this needs to see the light of day in a public
whitewashinquiry, perhaps we could ask Lord Oxburgh to chair it?CCC? More like, the clowns of climate change and the show goes on and on.
Soon, will come the time to roll out the tumbrels.
