The Global Warming War

Some sceptics have made a movie, it seems. I must say, from the trailer it looks like lots of fun.

Bang goes my argument it must be the alarmists who have all the money because sceptics don't make good videos!

Love it! Thanks for highlighting this.

Brief and to the point. The debate is over - there is no global warming.

If that is the trailer, where is the film?

(My impression is that it is presented factually and low-key by people who know their stuff and a very far from the loony end of the scale.)

Looks like fun alright.

But I hope they don't promote Svensmark too much. That is an interesting theory, but as an explanatory theory is only as advanced (i.e. not very) as AGW.

Looking forward to watching it, but...........where will it be aired, it won't be the BBC that's for sure?

This is not new and has been available on Amazon for at least 4 months:

Its main page is rather brief but it is available on Vimeo and Amazon, and there's lengthy summary on the Vimeo site.

Fantastic! I hope it doesn't push the Svensmark hypothesis too far when it is likely only one small contributing factor (like CO2). The more mundane (and apparently uncontroversial before the brainwashing began) explanation of shifts in ocean heat content over months to hundreds of years alongside UHI is more than adequate to explain most of the limited warming we've seen, but maybe less exciting material for a documentary. Nice to put some faces to familiar sceptical names. I'm wondering where / when it will come out, but most of all reaching for the popcorn and earplugs in anticipation of its reception in the warmist community..

Hm, I'd swear I entered all links correctly but they disappeared in the process. It would be really nice to have a working preview feature here.
Just in case they won't appear later, here they are:

Studies of media marketing seem to indicate that a high frequency of Intenet viewing is porn.
To captue a large audience, why not have some classy legover wih a huge screen in the background playing the movie? Or some similar linkage?
We have had global warming in the past linked to politics, astronomy, physics, statistics, etc., all of which are deadly boring compared with heat of the moment disrobing and athleticism of beautiful bodies, male and female doing explicit horizontal drilling as in fracking.
One can easily get tne impression from videos of green protests that there are bugger all beautkful bodies, even washed ones, among the set of whingers - so such a format would shaft a number of overspoken but undere ndowed ugly greens.
Extra advantage, the film would be seen this way by many kids of 12 or more, without peanut gallefy censorshkp by parents. Teach em young, the Jesuit way.
In terms of support, I can supply a few inches on request, though in the cause of non-racism, I would defer to some of my darker bretheren for more bang for the buck.
Cheers Geoff.

How the Hell does one follow a comment like that?
Best regards.

I'm trying to decide if your comment is sublime genius or a rambling stream of consciousnessness..ness?

Is there really a movie, or did they just make a trailer or are they in the process of making the film?

Geoff Sherrington: The Story of ohhhhhhhh! ?

Imho any sort of coherent rebuttal of this ridiculous supposition [mmCO²=warming] is worth making and releasing, and I also think humour, mild and more political lampoon is the most effective method of reaching a wider public.

Joe and Joanna Public need some analogies drawing to be enabled to comprehend the stretch, the suspension of belief - the gooks of green are asking the world to make on making mankind swallow the biggest scam - man made warming. Thus metaphors - 390ppm and imagining a tiny ping pong ball's insignificance when placed in the relative vastness of the royal Albert hall - is an image which will stick in the consciousness of most people unable or, not bothered to look up the actual facts and thereof the dearth of evidence - in the case of man made warming.

Mind you, I have to say most of the comedic genius somewhat involuntarily dwells over on the alarmist persuasion - for who can compare with Al Gore? and Miliband, Davey, Camoron and Worthington make me want to scream.

It's as funny as a Roadrunner cartoon, and for the same reason.

Ingenious art?
Masterful voicing?
Amusing parodies?

Or have you forgotten to take your lithium and sedatives allowing your psychosis to overreact thereby attacking your greatest fears blindly and without reason?

Science eventually rules sock puppet Russell. Cagw and it's related scams are collapsing.

What's not funny about an hilarious disregard for physics -- if irony had mass , this film would have an event horizon.

Mark Morano, could win an Oscar playing himself in in a Chroistopher Buckley flic.

For anyone wanting to watch the entire film, it can be rented (or purchased) on the Vimeo site.
I rented at £1.35 for 48 hours - Very reasonable.
Yes, I have watched it and it makes a series of very good arguments against the consensus position using a collection of (mainly mature) scientists and notable contributors.
Nothing new, but worth £1.35 to celebrate a week of generally good climate related news.

The deniers will tell you that sea levels aren't rising and there's nothing to worry about.

Oh,,,, did I just hear you say "you don't believe them"?

Well, perhaps you'd like to talk to them about it. Not a problem. They're easy to find.

This cartoon shows you where they all live . . . . . .

The Svensmark "theory" is actually good, solid physics and meteorology combined. There is a NASA website out of the Marshall Space Center devoted to solar physics which discussed the Maunder Minimum and the fact that it coincided with the little ice age. There is also a NASA paper from 2009 with the title "Cosmic Rays Hit Space Age High" which discusses the effects of sunspot activity on our atmosphere. Finally, there is a classic piece of physics demonstration apparatus called the "Wilson Cloud Chamber."
Any good meteorologist will tell you that water needs something to condense on in order to form clouds. Cosmic rays are natures cloud seeders. Clouds block the heat of the sun.
Yes, I was a physics major in college.
